Together we can start Something Great

We are just beginning to put this together. We have a long way to go until 2023, but a short time to get there. There is so much work to be done to build on a grassroots movement and ensure that everyone can #LiveIndyTogether.

I have had the pleasure of calling Indianapolis home since I was born in St. Francis Hospital (Beech Grove - but you know how that works.) I graduated from Perry Meridian and UIndy twice. I love this city - I don't want to be anywhere else. From my early days as a Lifeguard at Rhodius Park to my time working in the CCB leading Indy Parks' marketing efforts through the end of the Ballard administration; Indy is my home and I want people to feel welcome and her citizens to feel safe.

I have watched the events that came to a boiling point in 2020. The city's poor handling of COVID  and the failure of leadership to just listen and process the valid feelings of upset in the wake of the George Floyd apparent murder. It took 3 nights to hug it out and deescalate. No wonder POC in Indy have a negative relationship - this has to be able to happen each day!

Right now, I am separated from either of the major political parties, but I understand the need to find their support to make a successful run, but I promise you this - neither party is 100% right. Neither party seems to get it - I want to hear it, I want to get it and we will, together, determine how to move it forward.

Right now I have a 2 step plan:

1) Meet people and listen

2) Make a plan that answers the need.

If you want to stay informed please take a moment to sign up to keep in touch with me.

As the election is quite far away, I know there is a lot of boots on the ground work to be done. I want everyone to chip in. Please stay tuned.
